Where are Akileine products made?
In Monaco, in the facilities of Laboratoires Asepta, the house that created the brand in 1943. Every formula is developed and made in the same place, which allows quality control at every step. The products sold in Canada are exactly the same as those sold in Europe; only the bilingual labelling is adapted to Canadian regulations.
Who is Laboratoire Larima?
Laboratoire Larima is a Quebec company based in Terrebonne, just north of Montreal. We have been Akileine's exclusive distributor in Canada since 1979: we import the products directly from Monaco, supply foot care practices and clinics as well as sports stores, and ship akileine.ca orders anywhere in Canada. What's the difference between the blue, red and green lines?
Each colour answers a need:
- Blue: dry to very dry feet, rough heels, calluses. These products moisturize, nourish and soften.
- Red: tired, hot feet, ankles that feel heavy at the end of the day. These products cool, ease and soothe.
- Green: perspiration and odour. These products absorb moisture, deodorize and help keep feet dry.

Choosing your product
I have dry feet. Where do I start?
With the blue line. For dry skin that feels tight or for rough heels, the Dry Foot Nutri-Repair Cream is the basic daily product: twice a day, over the whole foot. If your feet are very dehydrated, the more concentrated Hydra-Defense Foot Balm needs only one application a day. Once a week, the Rubbing Cream foot scrub removes dead skin cells and lets your moisturizer work better.
Dry feet or cracked heels: what's the difference?
Dry feet are skin that lacks water and lipids: it feels tight, turns rough, sometimes whitish. When that dryness settles in and the skin on the heel thickens, it loses its suppleness and can start to crack: those are cracked heels.
- For dry skin, the Dry Foot Nutri-Repair Cream or the Hydra-Defense Foot Balm is usually enough.
- For dry, cracked heels, CICALEINE Balm is formulated to help the skin regain its suppleness and elasticity, with two applications a day until it's soft and smooth again. The CICALEINE Insulating Film then protects areas exposed to cold and rubbing.

My feet sweat a lot and smell bad. What do you recommend?
The green line is made for you, and the most effective approach is to combine a product for your feet with one for your shoes:
- In the morning, on clean, dry feet, the Double Action Deodorant Foot Cream or the Foot Powder Spray: they absorb moisture, deodorize and help keep feet dry all day long.
- In the evening, the Deodorant Shoe Spray into shoes, boots or running shoes, left to work overnight.
For very damp feet, the Deodorant Foot Spray is sprayed once a day on the sole and between the toes. For a moment of relaxation, the Effervescent Foot Bath Tablets deep-clean and deodorize. The deodorant cream and the shoe spray are suitable for children from age 3.
I play sports: which product for chafing?
NOK Anti-Chafing Cream from the Sports Akileine line. Applied before exercise with a long massage on the areas to protect (heels, toes, thighs, underarms), it limits skin-on-skin and skin-on-gear rubbing, and it resists water and sweat. For a long or intense effort, apply a second layer without massaging. Cyclists also love it as a chamois cream.
For everyday use, with new or tight shoes, the Magic Foot Balm Anti-Chafing Formula plays the same barrier role, in a texture rich in shea butter.
Are the products suitable for children and sensitive skin?
Many are, but not all. Age guidance appears on every package and on every product page:
- The Double Action Deodorant Foot Cream, the Foot Powder Spray and the Deodorant Shoe Spray can be used for children from age 3; the Effervescent Foot Bath Tablets from age 6; NOK Cream from age 3.
- Cold Feet Cream is for adults and teens over 15; Black Spray 3-in-1 and the Rubbing Cream foot scrub are for adults only.
- The Dry Foot Nutri-Repair Cream, the Relaxing Foot Cream and AKILDIA Cream are suitable for sensitive skin.
When in doubt, especially during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, ask your doctor or your foot care professional.
Ingredients and manufacturing
What's in Akileine products?
Plant-based actives chosen for the foot (shea butter, yarrow, centella asiatica, ginkgo biloba, horse chestnut, natural menthol, sage or lavandin essential oils, depending on the product) and exclusive ingredients patented by Asepta, such as Silk Lipesters. The formulas are paraben-free, and many contain over 90% ingredients of natural origin (95.8% for the Dry Foot Nutri-Repair Cream, 95.6% for the Deodorant Foot Cream, 98.6% for the Rubbing Cream foot scrub). Are the products of natural origin?
Many Akileine formulas contain over 90% ingredients of natural origin, but no line is formulated exclusively with natural-origin ingredients: some contain beeswax, honey or silk derivatives. If this matters to you, check the ingredient list on each product page.
Do the products have an expiry date?
Like any cosmetic, an Akileine product keeps for several years in its unopened package, away from heat. Once opened, follow the period shown by the open-jar symbol on the package (for example, "12 M" for twelve months). Store aerosols and sprays at room temperature, away from any heat source.

Do you ship across Canada? How much does it cost?
Yes, we ship anywhere in Canada by Canada Post. Orders are prepared in one to two business days, and delivery then takes two to seven business days depending on your region. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your address and the weight of the parcel. Shipping is free on orders of $100 or more. Shipping to the United States, if that market is enabled, is described in our shipping policy.
Can I return a product?
Yes, within 30 days of receiving it, as long as the product is unused, unopened and in its original packaging. For hygiene reasons, we can't take back a product that has been opened. First write to us at info@akileine.ca with your order number: we'll confirm the procedure before you send anything. Return shipping is at your expense, unless the product you received is defective or damaged; in that case, we replace it at no charge. Refunds go to the original payment method within ten (10) business days of receiving the parcel.
My parcel arrived damaged or incomplete. What should I do?
Write to us within five (5) days of receiving it, with your order number and, if possible, a photo of the parcel and the product. We'll send the missing or damaged product again at no charge.
